This and that at the shelter: Pet Adoption Day dates to remember: Saturday, July 23 from 10-2 at Hollywood Feed and Saturday, Aug. 6 from 10-2 at Tractor Supply. If you will not visit the shelter because you feel you want to "take them all home with you" please stop by either of these locations to see and adopt one of our wonderful pets.
Calling all cat lovers! We have some of the most gorgeous longhaired kittens we have ever seen. Our three cat rooms are full of equally fetching felines. We have torties, calicos, dilutes, tabbies, orange (reds), black, white, cream, long, medium, and short hairs. We have several extra-large kitties who would guard the interior of your home, were they not big teddy bears. We also have tiny kittens, barely 6 weeks old. We do not adopt out nursing mothers or kittens who are not weaned. Stop by The Pet Stop any day of the week to see a selection of shelter cats and kittens ready for adoption. Check us out at dyerhumane.org or petfinder.com and type 38024 zip to see many of the pets available for adoption. Keep in mind we receive over 100 pets a week and the pictures will never be totally up to date. The best bet is to stop by the shelter several times a week if you are looking for a certain type pet.
On the canine side we have a black-and-white Pom house dog who is precious, a feist/Jack mix who is a tiny 10-week-old, several black and yellow lab pups, a black dachshund who is a perfect indoor pet, a wonderful terrier who is used to a loving home and will follow you anywhere and be a lot of company, a border collie mix, a tiny rat terrier pup who wants to be held and cuddled, a beagle-mix pup who will be a perfect companion/family pet, a chocolate lab, a 12-week-old terrier who looks like a cute stuffed animal, a mini-schnauzer, black and golden retriever puppies, a stunning dobie, a purebred shih tzu, a black-and-white feist mix whose name is Panda and looks like a panda bear in the face, is good with children and housebroken.
