Trends in the industry include greater security in cards, cards that are personalized and cards that enhance the users' experience. Bristol ID offers a suite of security features that we continue to enhance. Popular options include holographic and metallic foils, 3D holograms and security inks. In addition, Bristol ID is one of the leaders in the use of RFID, embedding chips and antennae into the card and increasing security, as well as making it possible to read the card from distances ranging from a few inches to 30 feet. How has the company continued to grow during the economic slump?

Bristol ID has not only seen record growth despite the recession, but has also received a number of prestigious awards for card innovation and customer support. Offering the shortest lead times in the industry, maintaining an on-time delivery in excess of 98 percent and providing a customer experience second to none has contributed to this success.

What are the biggest challenges to the industry and your company?

Bristol ID sells through resellers across the globe. Cards are just one piece of the overall solution our customers supply to their end-users. Our customers will typically need hardware and/or software to use in conjunction with the card. To that end, we are looking for an acquisition of a company manufacturing these complementary products such as a barcode or RFID reader.
