I have Maytag Gas dryer (MDGB850WQ0) which has no heat. Unit is under warrenty so they came out and changed the thermal cut off limit and hight limit thermoster and heat was back. Then the next use on the second load the heat cut out again. The tech before mentioned the vent so I went ahead and cleaned it out. Since I watched the tech, I figured I change out the parts. One of the two parts ohm'd out good the other has an open. The part number on the failed unit is 3977394, which when I look it up pops up the the thermal/high limit kit for an electric dryer (my part matches the picture). The bulkhead parts diagram (MDGB850WQ0) shows the part number as AP3866211, unfortunitley no picture.
